Stirrups KLIFRA – enamelled stirrups in a modern design

Stirrups KLIFRA made of stainless steel – in an elegant design with shimmering black enamel with double-shaped legs and a 90 degree rotated eyelet. The rubber inserts are interchangeable (standard size).

Klifra (Icelandic for “climb”) – the enameled stirrup from ÍsKnapar! As with our other products, we approached the product design with a lot of curiosity and with the consideration of what could actually be improved with such a large range of stirrups: While the suitable shape – rather light and elegant – was quickly clear, we didn’t have one for a long time good solution for the desired finish (black metallic) found. Unfortunately, many (actually almost all) paints fade over time and under temperature and UV exposure, as well as through contact with aggressive media and much more abrasive (scratching/sanding) loads.

After some research, we came across the topic of high-performance ceramics in the form of enamelling. Enameling describes the coating of a metallic object with a glass-like surface with a layer thickness of a few fractions of a millimeter. This creates a ceramic surface that is firmly attached to the object and is scratch-resistant and stable over the long term.

Enamelled – an absolute eye-catcher – discreet and exclusive at the same time – robust, colorfast, impact and scratch-resistant – especially all around!

This is how our KLIFRA stirrups came about – a solid forged stirrup with a stainless steel core and enamel coating – uniquely chic and resistant to environmental influences – a great advantage in terms of longevity, especially in the stable and on the horse!
